Please read these terms carefully before using Sydney Ironing's pickup and delivery service.
1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sydney Ironing website and the ironing, laundry, pickup and delivery services ("Services") we provide. By booking a pickup, placing an order, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
2. Our Services
Sydney Ironing provides garment ironing, pressing, and laundry services with pickup from and delivery to addresses within our current service area (see our Service Areas page for coverage). Service availability, turnaround times, and pricing are as displayed on our website at the time of booking and may change without prior notice.
3. Bookings & Payment
Bookings can be made online via our Quick Booking, Booking, or Checkout pages. Full payment (or a deposit, where stated) is processed via our secure payment provider at the time of booking, or cash is collected on delivery where Cash on Delivery is selected. Prices shown at checkout are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact details, pickup address, and pickup time. We are not liable for missed pickups caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided at booking.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up until the scheduled pickup time, by contacting us at info@sydneyironing.com.au. If our driver attends your address at the agreed time and cannot complete the pickup (for example, no one is available and no garments have been left as arranged), we reserve the right to charge a reasonable failed-pickup fee.
5. Garment Care & Liability
We take reasonable care when handling, pressing, and transporting your garments. However:
- You must disclose any garments requiring special care (e.g. delicate fabrics, leather, embellishments) at the time of booking or by including a note with your order.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, colour fading, or manufacturing defects in garments.
- In the unlikely event a garment is lost or damaged due to our error, our liability is limited to the lesser of the cost of repair, replacement, or up to five (5) times our service fee for that specific item, in line with standard laundry and dry-cleaning industry practice.
- Claims for lost or damaged garments must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of delivery, including photos where damage is claimed.
6. Turnaround Times
Standard turnaround and any express/same-day options are estimates, not guarantees. While we aim to meet the turnaround stated at booking, delays may occasionally occur due to volume, weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will do our best to notify you of any significant delay.
7. Prohibited Items
Please do not include items that are heavily soiled with hazardous substances, infested, non-fabric items, or anything illegal. We reserve the right to refuse service on any item at our discretion and will contact you if this occurs.
8. Refund Policy
If you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will re-press or re-launder the affected items free of charge where reasonably possible. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not automatic.
Where a refund is approved for a card payment, it is processed back to the original card via our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe refunds are typically issued within 5–10 business days, depending on your card provider — we do not have control over how long your bank takes to display the refund. For Cash on Delivery orders, no payment is collected until delivery, so no refund is applicable unless cash has already been paid.
By authorizing a card payment at booking, you agree that charges are processed securely by Stripe on our behalf, and that any dispute regarding a charge should first be raised with us directly at info@sydneyironing.com.au so we can resolve it before any chargeback is filed.
9. Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and not to attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the booking system, payment processing, or any other part of our Services.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Services or for legal reasons. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
